October - the month of a black cat!

Coal black cat beauties are neglected in shelters every year, as people's choice mostly falls on kitties in other colors. Whether it's a superstition or just a color preference, unfortunately black cats are the most numerous in shelters.

As a result, we have joined forces with Varjupaikade NGO, with whom we will bring these black purring engines closer to people. That's how we make a donation of 1 euro for every sock with a picture of a cat on it, to help shelters find homes for black kitties and offer them a better life. Also, the surrender fee for black cats in the shelter is only 1 euro in the month of October, so that every kitty can find the best possible home regardless of the financials.

October 27 - Black Cat Day

There is only one breed of cat in the world whose fur is only black in color. Bombay cats were bred to resemble the black leopard. Really elegant, with a curious nature and good companions to purr on the couch! Did you know that black cats can change color during their lifetime? As the cat gets older, the sun can bleach the black fur to brown instead, and the jet-black cat becomes a dignified Mr. or Mrs. Kitty with brown-gray fur instead!
